The half cent sales tax in Custer county has been renewed. Voters gave the measure 75% support at the ballot box Tuesday. County commissioner Kurt Hamburger reacts to the support of county voters.
In school board of education races, Kimberly Meacham got 54% of the vote in defeating Kevin Wolters in the Clinton school board race. Bryan Bayless won the Weatherford school board of education seat by getting 67% of the vote. Meanwhile, a runoff will be held April 4th for the Arapaho-Butler seat. None of the three candidates received more than 50% of the vote forcing a runoff between Derek Matz and Clay Kauk. Matz got 46% of the vote and 40% for Kauk. Gary D. Smith won the Western Technology Center board seat getting 76% of the vote. In Washita county, Marva Webb won the school board seat in Burns Flat-Dill City.
