Several vendors gathered at the Custer county commissioners meeting Monday to ask questions over landowner compensation as outlined in the temporary waterline crossing permit in Custer county. Assistant District Attorney Ricky McPhearson responded to the questions of those vendors saying the law is clear that landowners need to be compensated.

However, McPhearson says there is not a specific set amount of compensation. He says he believes there should be a maximum amount of compensation set by either the corporation commission or state legislature.
